Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran are not romantically involved but are reported to be holding “songwriting dates.”
The Mirror reports that the pair have a “completely platonic relationship,” despite recent rumours linking them romantically.
The British newspaper says that Taylor has been helping the red headed singer compose tunes for his new album.
“His relationship with Taylor is not about sex or dating, it’s completely platonic,” a source close to Ed told the paper.
“They are just two amazing artists who are making good music.
“They really hit it off when they met last year and they’ve got a really good friendship.”
Speculation of a romance surfaced after the singers were reported to have spent the majority of the evening before the Brit Awards in a hotel room together.
Ed was seen leaving the room at around 4am looking “very happy,” according to reports.
“Taylor has always loved Ed to bits,” a source recently told The Sun. “He’s just an adorably sweet guy who makes her laugh and feel confident.”
But it seems Taylor is in fact just returning the favour after the duo collaborated on the track Everything Has Changed on Taylor’s platinum selling Red album.
“He’s made the transition from urban roots to mainstream pop and is really making the most of having such a loyal fan base,” the source added to the Mirror.
