Swift: No Valentine’s Day plans
Taylor Swift says she has no romantic plans for Valentine’s Day this year and will most likely be “with friends or rehearsing.”
The 23-year-old singer split from her latest celebrity boyfriend Harry Styles in January.
Speaking to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show, Taylor revealed she had no special plans for the romantic holiday.
"I'm probably going to be with my friends or rehearsing. I'll be like working on the lighting rig and like, the lighting cues," she joked.
"And I don't think I'd rather be anywhere else to be honest."
She and One Direction star Harry dated for several months before splitting over the holidays after apparently getting into a huge argument while vacationing in the British Virgin Islands.
Taylor will be performing at this Sunday’s Grammy Awards and revealed she will be the opening act.
"We presented this performance to the Grammy committee, and they said, 'Okay, cool you have a performance spot,” she recalled on Thursday’s programme.
“And then like a week ago they call us and are like, 'Oh, by the way, you're opening the show.'
“It's not like they approach you. It just surprised me I was going to go first."
But despite her highly publicised love life, the singer maintains that the past year has been “the best ever” for her.
The star’s latest album Red went platinum in the US on its release last year, and the singer will be going on tour with the record in March.
"Hands down it's just been the best year. It's been amazing," she told Ryan.
"I got to make a record that was different than anything I'd ever done before.
“That stuff really surprises me, the fact that I was able to branch out and everybody is really embracing it. It feels like the best year I've had so far.”
