When interior design is left in Sylvester Stallone's hands, his home ends up with "sledgehammers in the living room".

The actor lives with his wife Jennifer Flavin, with whom he has three daughters - Sophia, Sistine and Scarlet.

When it comes to important decisions for his house, the 68-year-old is happy to let his other half take the reins.

"Very much," he grinned to the British edition of OK! magazine when asked if he's a romantic.

"A week ago I said, 'Just decorate everything in the home all perfect for you.' When I decorate my house it ends up looking like the Batcave - kind of heavy with sledgehammers in the living room. I said, 'I've had it this way for 20 years, it's your turn.'"

Sylvester is very proud of his home and his family, describing his daughters as "superior students". He adds that one is following a path as a model, another is off to college and the third is "a little elf running around".

While fans can't get enough of the former Rocky star, his girls aren't as fussed about his fame.

"If I'm within a mile of them it's like, 'Dad, can you please wear a disguise?' I say, 'Can I drop you off at school?' They say, 'No, we're going to take the bus.' Everyone at their school is happy to see me but them," he laughed.

"But it happens with celebrity parents. I'm going to go dressed as Michael Douglas next time!"

Unfortunately for his kids, Sylvester won't be out of the spotlight anytime soon. He's been announced for crime drama Scarpa and is busy working on his voiceover for kids' film Animal Crackers.
