Talks over TOWIE fashion range
Fans of The Only Way Is Essex could soon be able to dress up like its stars after the team behind the hit reality show started talks with a series of high-street fashion stores.
The ITV2 show, which follows the lives and loves of a group of designer-clad partygoers based in and around Brentwood, Buckhurst Hill and Chigwell, has been a surprise hit and picked up the YouTube Audience Award at this year's TV Bafta Awards.
It made unlikely stars of regulars including Mark Wright, Amy Childs and Sam Faiers as it follows their lives in what programme-makers call a structured-reality show.
Production company Lime Pictures is in talks with manufacturers and distributors about a clothing range inspired by the show, but a deal is not believed to be close.
The success of the show, known by its fans as Towie, has prompted the launch on E4 of a more upmarket rival, Made In Chelsea, and some members of the cast have even talked about the prospect of making a film.
Sam has said previously: "I think they should make a Towie movie. That would be funny."
