Taryn Manning thinks Britney Spears would be great in Orange is the New Black.

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Actress Taryn Manning hopes Britney Spears will pop up on the set of Orange is the New Black.

The two blondes starred alongside each other in teen flick Crossroads in 2002 and they have remained fans of each other ever since.

With the news that 33-year-old Britney is set to appear in TV show Jane the Virgin, Taryn, 36, says there's always room for the singer on the Netflix prison drama.

"Of course, I want Britney Spears everywhere you can see her. She's the best," Taryn beamed to ET at last night's Emmy Awards (20Sep15).

"Um, I mean, I don't have to make up a character, she's such a good actor that I feel like they could do anything with her. I was so impressed working with her I was like, she's just very sincere in her acting, you know? It's like everyone wanted to maybe hope that she's not gonna be good but she was great."

Taryn snubbed her orange jumpsuit for last night's glitzy bash, opting for a floor length black gown, with added cape detail. She accessorised her Rubin Singer dress with Stephen Webster jewels.

She cheered on her co-star Uzo Aduba, who scooped the best supporting actress gong.

The 34-year-old's speech was an emotional one, with the actress thanking show creator Jenji Kohan for putting belief back in her heart.

Backstage she also praised her mother and sister, who were by her side all evening.

"These are people who have helped me read lines for auditions and stayed up late learning the script with me, and my mom has stood for me when I couldn't stand myself and carried me in time when I was weak. If I could live to be one-tenth of the woman that she has lived to be, I would have lived," she gushed to ET.
