Tatum: Joe is terrifyingly unreal when he dances
Channing Tatum has described Magic Mike XXL co-star Joe Manganiello’s dance moves in the stripper flick “terrifyingly unreal”.
The heartthrob, who returns as the titular character in the sequel to 2012’s smash hit movie, has admitted that Joe’s dance moves are “terrifyingly unreal”. And coming from the star of Step Up whose own short-lived career as a stripper loosely inspired the premise for the Magic Mike films, that’s a pretty big compliment indeed.
"It is terrifyingly unreal when he dances," Channing, 34, told Entertainment Tonight of what fans can expect when the sequel hits cinemas in the US on July 1.
"He's going to blow people's minds in this movie.”
As for 38-year-old Joe, who reprises his role of Big Dick Richie in what Channing describes as a “stripper odyssey”, he has revealed his fiancée provided plenty of inspiration for the sexy dance moves viewers will be treated to. The 6ft 5in hunk is of course set to wed Modern Family beauty Sofía Vergara later this year after popping the question on Christmas Day following a whirlwind six months together.
“The Colombian people, they love life. They live life to the fullest,” he told Entertainment Tonight, confirming of Sofía’s influence, “So the answer’s yes.”
The genetically-blessed duo are widely considered to be one of Hollywood’s hottest couples, regularly topping best-dressed lists when they hit the red carpet together. And with their wedding fast approaching, fans are waiting with bated breath to see just which designer the bride will choose to wear on her big day.
