Terrence Howard sued by landlord
Terrence Howard is accused of failing to pay rent on his downtown Manhattan apartment in new legal filings.
The 44-year-old actor's lease at his New York City apartment allegedly expired last November.
According to TMZ, Terrence continued living at the downtown Manhattan residence until May when the actor was reportedly served an eviction notice.
Court documents obtained by the website show Howard is now being sued by his landlord for an unspecified sum for unpaid rent and legal fees.
The plaintiff has not been named and a spokesperson for the star has yet to issue comment.
Terrence is currently embroiled in several legal disputes.
His ex-wife, Michelle Ghent, is taking him to court for "beating her badly" during an argument in Costa Rica earlier this month and is reportedly requesting a restraining order.
The actor has denied the allegations. In a police report obtained by the site, Terrence insists they had a "normal married fight" which she escalated by allegedly threatening to kill him and his family and then attacking him with pepper spray.
He also claims his ex attempted suicide two months ago and was diagnosed with paranoia, according to the report.
Terrence and Michelle divorced in May.
She has also accused him of assaulting her seven days after their January 2010 wedding, according to TMZ.
Michelle filed for divorce 13 months later.
