Dwayne Johnson has revealed he “embarrasses the sh*t” out of his teenage daughter Simone – just by being himself.

The former wrestler has 13-year-old daughter Simone with his ex-wife Dany Garcia.

Dwayne stars as a divorced rescue helicopter pilot in new film San Andreas, which sees his character search for his child after an earthquake hits California.

And Dwayne added in a new interview that his own personal situation with Simone helped him get into character for the film.

“I know what it’s like to be divorced, I know what it’s like to struggle in relationships, I know what it’s like to have a pretty good job and be pretty good at your job, but at the same time have insecurities,” he told US TV show Extra.

“I drew on the awesome relationship I have today with my teenage daughter cause there’s no greater bond than daddy-daughter.”

The 43-year-old actor has made a name for himself in the movie industry thanks to roles in films such as The Fast and Furious franchise and Get Smart.

But while Dwayne, also known as The Rock, has a massive fanbase worldwide, his little girl isn’t such a fan when he acts up in front of her friends.

“She quietly thinks I’m cool, but I just have this tendency to embarrass the sh*t out of her at any time, 'cause I’m that dad who’ll all of a sudden breaks out in song,” he laughed. “I’m that dad who, when I drop her off at school, she’s trying to be quiet and like ‘Go go go’ and I’m like, ‘Bye baby, see you,’ everybody’s like ‘That’s The Rock, yeah honey, I got this big pickup truck, yeah.’ ”
