The Wanted grateful for US success

The Wanted

The Wanted are glad the US have accepted them "with open arms".

The British boyband - comprising of Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes - are currently enjoying success with their EP The Wanted in the US.

Their hit song Glad You Came has peaked at number three on the US singles chart, and member Jay McGuiness has explained how thankful they are to their fans.

"It does feel very nice, and we didn't know if we came over here that America would like it because as much as we don't try to be perfect all the time, we knew that America had an idea of boybands and they might have expected 'N Sync and nothing else," Jay said in an interview with the BBC.

"The radio and everyone else, we have to thank them because they've accepted us with open arms."

Jay realises that The Wanted's songs aren't the most thought-provoking, but he is glad they entertain people.

The star wants to please audiences across the globe with the records they put out.

"You know what, we could never have expected it. We knew how much we liked it and it's not the most complex or deeply crazy song, it's just a nice song that people like listening to, and if that's what makes people happy, that's makes us happy, because we get to see it in front of millions of people," Jay added.

This isn't a good time to make travel plans. Weather conditions and work responsibilities have a way of wreaking havoc with your schedule. Wait another few days before putting down a hefty deposit. Working behind the scenes will yield significant rewards. If someone asks you to serve as their assistant, go ahead and accept. The pay will be excellent and there will be a lot of fringe benefits, too. Don't talk about a neighbour's private life in mixed company.More
