Gareth Thomas has revealed that he's struggling with his Dancing On Ice rehearsals after developing a foot infection.
The former rugby player vented his frustration over his injury, which has left him with a swollen foot like the "Elephant Man".
"Got a foot like the elephant man this morning!! Super swollen !! Getting ready for two hours of pain in a skating boot!!;(" he tweeted.
He later wrote: "Hoping I can get my foot in my boot this morning. No pain no gain!!!!!;(). I'm sure I will be ok babes. Not ready for amputation just yet!!;)xx"
Gareth was apparently taken to hospital and prescribed a course of antibiotics.
A source admits that he is worried that the injury could scupper his chances of making it through to the next round of the ITV1 ice-skating competition.
"We are hoping it will not stop him from appearing on the show at the weekend, but it all depends on how well the infection heals over the next few days. If he does manage to make it on to the ice it will be very painful for him, so it will almost certainly impact on his performance," the source told The Sun.
