Three-day event for Doctor Who fans

Doctor Who fans will get the chance to get up close to the Tardis and the Time Lord at a three-day event dedicated to the show.

The current doctor Peter Capaldi will join cast and crew, including show supremo Steven Moffat, at the Doctor Who Festival at London's ExCel Exhibition Centre.

Tickets, which range in price from £30 to £285, allow fans access to props, the sets from recent shows and sessions with the writers who dream up the plots for the doctor's adventures.

Fans will also be able to show off outfits inspired by the show's costumes and learn some of the techniques used by cast members in front of the camera.

Mr Moffat said: "I can't believe we're going to give away our secrets. This is the closest you could possibly get to finding out what happens on set and how this magical show is put together."

The festival runs for three days from November 13.
