Tim would love royal Brunch guests

Tim Lovejoy has two very special guests in mind for his new Sunday morning TV show - Princes William and Harry.

The former Something For The Weekend presenter is reunited with chef Simon Rimmer for Channel 4's Sunday Brunch, which has the winning combination of cooking and celebrity guests, and Tim reckons the royals would be perfect.

"I've met them both and they're really nice blokes," he said. "They're funny, intelligent and a bit of a laugh."

Viewers can look forward to large helpings of banter while Simon cooks an assortment of dishes on the live show. "Simon and I are a bit like the odd couple. I imagine people think we go home together and end up sleeping in the same bed, Morecambe and Wise style," laughed Tim.

"We're conscious it's just the two of us and we're worried the public will think our egos have got the better of us, but working together is the bit we love.

"I've worked on TV for years and most of the TV friendships you have start and stop when you're in the studio, whereas we're on the phone to each other every day."

Although Tim enjoys an excuse to go for a curry with his co-presenter, the father-of-two [he has twin daughters Grace and Rose with ex-wife Jade] has lost the partying urge.

"I used to go out on a Friday but these days I can't really do it. And I never go out on a Saturday although people always tell me I look hungover," he laughed.

:: Sunday Brunch is on every Sunday morning on Channel 4.
