Timberlake 'moved' by charity
Justin Timberlake hopes the "coincidence" that his new track shares its name with an organisation which fights violence against women will help raise its profile.
The singer's latest track is called Take Back The Night, the same name as a foundation which seeks to protect ladies from sexual violence.
The charitable organisation was unhappy that Justin had used its name in a racy song, although he has released a statement explaining he had no idea about the issue.
Since it was raised he has started to learn about the Take Back The Night organisation and is impressed with what it stands for.
"Upon the release of my new single Take Back The Night, I was made aware of an organisation of the same name called The Take Back The Night Foundation," he explained in a statement to RadarOnline.
"I wanted to take this opportunity to let all know that neither my song nor its lyrics have any association with the organisation. As I’ve learned more about The Take Back The Night Foundation, I’m moved by its efforts to stop violence against women, create safe communities and encourage respectful relationships for women — Something we all should rally around."
The singer added he hopes the "coincidence" will boost the organisation's profile and get people interested in its work.
Justin was in London, UK, over the weekend performing alongside Jay-Z at the 2013 Yahoo! Wireless Festival. Rihanna joined them on stage yesterday, thrilling the crowd by showing off diamond teeth grill as well as her sexy dance moves.
"No-one was expecting it at all. The crowd was absolutely loving it and the atmosphere was electric," one source at the show told MailOnline.
