Timberlake: Obama has cool factor

Justin Timberlake has revealed that US President Barack Obama is "the coolest guy" around.

The Suit And Tie singer met the American leader when he performed at the White House for the In Performance At The White House's celebration of Memphis soul concert in April.

The Memphis-born star told Jay Leno on The Tonight Show: "Man, he's the coolest guy I ever met. Let me just say that."

Justin teamed up with Steve Cropper to serenade the Obamas with their rendition of Otis Redding's Sittin' On The Dock Of The Bay.

"We rehearsed and he (the President) had some meeting out of state, and he showed up on the Air Force One helicopter and I felt weird," he recalled.

"I'm like in his house - this is where he lives - and he's not there, and I didn't steal anything, I just wanna say that. But he shows up and the helicopter lands and the thing rolls out and he's just like [struts out]."

The 32-year-old added: "The camera operators, the producers, everybody who was rehearsing, we all stopped to watch President Obama and he struts off the thing and it was like dead silent, and I looked at everybody and I said, 'Daddy's home'."

Justin, who will headline the iTunes Festival on September 29, said he is fighting off a sinus infection. He admitted he has performed while feeling under the weather.

"I've had the ones where you have the garbage bucket right by the side of the stage, and every time the lights go down, you run over and exorcise the demons," he admitted.
