Timberlake to make Brits appearance

Justin Timberlake is making his music comeback

Justin Timberlake has signed up to perform at the Brits.

The singer and actor, who recently returned to the music scene after taking time out to focus on his film career, will continue on the comeback trail at the awards at London's O2 Arena on February 20.

It will be the 31-year-old's first performance in the UK since his FutureSex/LoveShow tour in 2007, and his first at the prestigious music awards show since 2004.

Brits chairman David Joseph said: "Justin is an exceptional artist with global appeal and unrivalled successes. We are thrilled to add him to a stellar line-up that will celebrate an amazing year of music and make this one of the strongest Brit live shows to date."

Justin, who celebrated his 31st birthday on January 31, released the single Suit And Tie, which features rap star Jay-Z, to mark his comeback last month.

He is following in the footsteps of fellow chart star Beyonce, who is also said to be set to sing at the Brits, with other performers including Robbie Williams, Muse, Ben Howard, One Direction, Mumford & Sons and Emeli Sande.

Mumford & Sons, Alt J and Emeli lead the way with three nominations each.
