Ashley Tisdale has “no idea” when or if High School Musical will return but she would like it to.

The 29-year-old actress starred as Sharpay Evans in the hit Disney films alongside Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens. The last movie was released in 2008 but Ashley isn’t sure if a fourth instalment with the original cast would happen any time soon.

“I have no idea,” she told MTV News when asked about the cast returning to the screen. “It would be interesting to do a 25-year reunion. That would be kind of crazy and also hilarious.”

While another movie, High School Musical 4: East Meets West has been confirmed, it will be with a brand new set of actors. In the meantime, Ashley is just hoping to catch up with her friends and former co-stars soon if they can fit something in around their respective busy schedules.

“We’re all trying to have our own personal reunion just to see each other,” she smiled.

Since rising to prominence in her High School Musical role, Ashley has continued to work on TV and on the big screen as well as establishing a music career, with two albums under her belt.

She has also had success in her personal life, having tied the knot with singer Christopher French in September last year. And Ashley hasn’t been shy in sharing with her fans how much her spouse means to her.

“I have so many things to be thankful for,” she wrote on Instagram at Thanksgiving. “Especially the man that changed my life forever, my husband.”
