Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes showed little sign of trouble in their marriage just two weeks ago.
The actress was pictured holding hands with the A-list star in Iceland while Tom took a break from filming his new movie Oblivion.
TMZ reports that the Mission Impossible star had no clue that his wife of five years was going to file for divorce just a fortnight later.
Tom and Katie had not been seen in public together for a few months and the 33-year-old had not attended any of his Rock of Ages premieres.
RadarOnline reports that while Katie was initially "blown away" by Tom with his "romance, love, private jets and shopping sprees" she grew tired of the 49-year-old star making all the decisions.
"In the end it just got too much, she was sick of it and decided she had to do something. Basically, she grew up and lost the starstruck goggles she had been wearing," an insider to the site.
"She decided it was high time she started deciding on what was best for her daughter Suri, or at least having an equal say, and she knew that would be impossible if she remained Mrs. Tom Cruise."
