Tom Cruise 'against Dawson's movie'
Tom Cruise was reportedly against Katie Holmes reprising her role in Dawson's Creek.
The actress shot to fame playing Joey Potter in the popular US TV show. Katie was apparently approached about reuniting with her former co-stars - including Joshua Jackson and James Van Der Beek - for a big screen adaptation of the series, but Tom was less than impressed.
"[Producers] were begging her to sign on for a reunion movie," a source told Us Weekly. "Tom said absolutely no way and thought going backward would be bad.
"[Katie] didn't care how 'low-brow' he thinks Dawson's Creek is. She wanted to do the movie and reconnect with her fans. And have fun - something she rarely does anymore."
Last year, Katie responded to rumours about a Dawson's Creek film, saying it would be "fun".
The publication has also claimed that 33-year-old Katie was restricted when it came to other acting roles.
Tom was apparently unhappy with her taking part in any steamy love scenes.
"[Tom was against] sexually compromising scenes, largely because the Scientology folks objected," a source explained.
Meanwhile, it has been claimed that Tom and Katie looked loved-up less than a month ago.
Relationship expert Kailen Rosenberg says a mutual friend had always insisted their marriage was solid.
"It was an interesting thing to hear that they were getting a divorce, because I had just been with a friend of mine who is close to Tom, and he told me that Tom and Katie had one of the neatest friendships and relationships of all the Hollywood couples he knew," told FOX411. "I was blown away to hear [about the divorce]."
It has been reported that Katie is unlikely to receive a large payout in the divorce settlement.
Although there was speculation the star could walk away with anything from $10 to $15 million after five years of marriage, TMZ insist the couple's pre-nuptial agreement will cut Katie out of Tom's fortune.
However, she is believed to be unconcerned with the money and is simply seeking child support from Tom for their six-year-old daughter Suri.
"Money is not that important to her," a source told the website. "She makes plenty on her own."
