Tom Cruise is involved in every aspect of his daughter Suri's life.
The 50-year-old actor split from Suri's mother Katie Holmes six months ago and the actress received primary custody of their child in the divorce decree.
Tom is working demanding hours while filming All You Need Is Kill in Europe currently, but the movie star is adamant about remaining close with six-year-old Suri.
"[Tom and Suri] are very, very close," a source revealed to People magazine.
"He's up on everything that's going on in her life."
Tom hasn't seen Suri in over a month.
He missed his daughter's first day of school on September 11 in New York City, but chances are he heard all about it over the phone.
"Tom talks to Suri several times a day," the source said. "He misses Suri very much."
Suri and her father last saw one another in early August, when Tom took her to Disney World.
The pair stayed in the Cinderella Suite at the theme park's hotel.
