Tom Cruise reportedly gagged Katie Holmes from ever talking about their divorce settlement.
The pair reached a speedy agreement less than two weeks after the actress filed to end their five-year marriage.
And Britain's Mirror newspaper claims that the Mission Impossible star insisted on a strict confidentiality clause as a key part of the out-of-court deal where Katie is said to have got primary custody of their daughter Suri.
In turn, Katie negotiated to have limitations on what each of them can teach the six-year-old about religion. She was raised Catholic while Tom is a strong believer in Scientology.
The "incredibly detailed" agreement covers nearly every aspect of the little girl's life until she turns 18.
"Confidentiality was the key," the insider told the publication. "If Katie hadn't signed up to remain silent it could have become a very messy legal battle. The terms will not be disclosed."
Experts have estimated that Katie may be in line to receive up to $50 million from Tom despite their pre-nuptial agreement and the actor may have to put up to seven percent of his earnings in child support.
