Tom Hanks is set to star in an animated internet series.
The Oscar-winning actor will voice the lead character in futuristic animated show Electric City.
And his company Playtone will produce the upcoming series along with Reliance Entertainment, reports USA Today.
The 90-minute series will be streamed on Yahoo later this year, separated into several three to five minute episodes.
Erin McPherson, Yahoo vice president and head of video, said: "Tom actually created this. He wrote and he stars in the lead voice."
Larry Crowne star Tom isn't the first Hollywood celeb to turn his hand to an online show - Rosario Dawson, Lisa Kudrow and Michael Cera are among those who appear in web-based series.
