Tom Hardy and wife Charlotte Riley are expecting their first child together, with the 33-year-old showing off her prominent baby bump at the Legend premiere on Thursday night.

The stunning brunette revealed the happy news by showing off her already prominent baby bump as she walked the red carpet at the premiere of Tom’s new movie Legend in London on Thursday night.

Actress Charlotte, 33, opted for a figure-hugging black dress to highlight her changing figure.

Her husband, who looked dapper in a navy three-piece suit, kept a protective arm around Charlotte as they posed for photographers in the capital’s Leicester Square.

While the baby will be the first for the couple, the 37-year-old actor is already father to seven-year-old son Louis from a previous relationship.

Charlotte and Tom wed in July 2014 after getting engaged in 2010.

Tom is of course famous for his acting roles but Charlotte is also a successful actress, with parts in television series including Peaky Blinders under her belt.

The British star opened up about her relationship with Tom in a recent interview, admitting she has trained him well to complete household chores.

"He's great around the house,” Charlotte told the Herald Scotland in May. “We do designated things. I love recycling. He's good at making the bed. It works brilliantly."

Tom also revealed during a chat with Elle magazine in 2012 that the pair have sweet nicknames for each other – with him calling Charlotte ‘Charlie Monkey’ and she calling Tom ‘Boo’.

Tom’s career is currently going from strength to strength. His dual roles as the Kray twins in Legend have made it one of the most highly-anticipated movies of the year.

There have also been whispers he could be in line to take on the role of James Bond when Daniel Craig vacates the part.
