Louis Tomlinson has ranted on Twitter after his estranged father gave an interview to a British newspaper.

The 21-year-old One Direction star was furious after his dad Troy Austin gave an interview to the Sunday Mirror.

Troy told the British newspaper that he wanted to reconcile with his famous son.

“I'd like to start off the day by saying a big f**k you to 'the mirror',” Louis wrote on Sunday. “On a happier note huge love to all out fans, you keep us going!!

Loving the tour so far!!”

The singer’s father reportedly split from Louis’s mother Johanna when the star was two-years-old.

He told the newspaper he recently took Louis’s half sister Georgia to a One Direction gig in Nottingham.

“Seeing Louis on that stage was amazing. He’s in the biggest band in the world and I’m the proudest dad in the world. I just hope he knows it,” Troy declared.

He added that he had tried to go backstage to see his famous son but was told it wasn’t possible.

Troy said he last saw Louis two years ago when the star contacted him to say he had been put into a band on the X Factor.

“It was a shame we couldn’t see Louis and tell him how brilliant he was. But I know he and the rest of the lads are really busy. Georgia was gutted – she’s his half-sister after all,” said Troy.

“He knows we were in the crowd and now I want to tell him what it meant to me to see him up there. I cried buckets.”
