Towie's Gemma Collins gets engaged

Gemma Collins got engaged over Christmas

Gemma Collins got more than she expected when she bit into her Christmas pudding - an engagement ring.

The Only Way Is Essex star's boyfriend Rami Hawash popped the question on Christmas Day by hiding a ring in her dessert.

Gemma shared a photo online of the pudding with a huge tear-shaped sparkler on top of it.

She tweeted: "Very excited to announce that I got engaged yesterday. I am very very happy @RamTech_ I love you best Xmas pudding x."

Gemma, 32, revealed she is already planning her big day, tweeting that some of her fellow reality stars will definitely be involved.

She wrote: "Confirmed @MissJessWright_ will be singing at the wedding x @SamanthaFaiers @BillieFaiers @fernemccann on drums."

Jessica replied: "Hahaha we will do you proud we promise x."

While Sam said she was "so happy and excited" to hear her co-star's news.

Gemma - who is a contestant on the new series of Splash! - has been dating Rami on and off since 2011.
