True Blood is expected to air its last episode in 2014, according to a fresh statement.

The vampire television show stars real-life husband and wife duo Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin as Bill Compton and Sookie Stackhouse.

The offering has been a defining part of TV culture and HBO’s programming president promises the last instalment will be incredible when it airs in 2014.

“True Blood has been nothing short of a defining show for HBO,” Michael Lombardo said in a statement. "Alan Ball took the books by Charlaine Harris, assembled a brilliant cast led by the magnificent Anna Paquin in the role of Sookie Stackhouse, and crafted a show that has taken its many devoted fans on an unforgettable journey.

“Together with its legions of fans, it will be hard to say goodbye to the residents of Bon Temps, but I look forward to what promises to be a fantastic final chapter of this incredible show."

True Blood also features big name actors including Alexander Skarsgård, Ryan Kwanten and Joe Manganiello.

Creator Alan Ball believes the cast were a huge factor behind its success.

"From the moment I read Charlaine's books, I thought there was potential for something really special," he said. "Then our amazing writers, cast and crew brought her world to life in a way that exceeded my wildest expectations.

“I'm deeply grateful to HBO for being true partners and collaborators, and, of course, to the viewers who chose to spend Sunday nights in Bon Temps with us."

True Blood was responsible for sparking romance as Anna, 31, got together with Stephen, 43, after the show’s pilot in 2007 and they welcomed fraternal twins Charlie and Poppy in September.

Stephen already had 13-year-old son Billy and 11-year-old daughter Lilac from previous relationships.

Capricorn:

Your dry humour will be very popular. It's always difficult bringing a large group of people together. Everybody feels like they are walking on eggshells. After cracking a few jokes, you'll put the group at ease. Resist the temptation to make fun of relatives, especially the more sensitive members of the group. Nobody likes feeling singled out. Watching a light hearted comedy can also be a great way to generate a festive atmosphere. This is a time when people can put their differences aside.More
