TV favourite Lorraine Kelly is set to become the queen of the jungle - as she turns children's show narrator.

The popular Daybreak star is voicing a new CBeebies series about a lion cub.

Kelly - who hosts the Lorraine Live slot each weekday - narrates the tales of Raa Raa The Noisy Lion and his friends.

The shows encourage youngsters to use a range of communication skills including gestures and facial expressions as well as words.

Raa Raa is joined on his voyage of discovery by Huffty the elephant, Topsy the giraffe, Crocky the crocodile, Zebby the zebra and Ooo Ooo the monkey.

Kelly said: "Raa Raa the Noisy Lion is a hoot. I love the idea of making learning fun for kids, and as 2011 is the National Year of Communication, this series is more relevant than ever."

The new series has been produced by the makers of Fifi And The Flowertots and Roary The Racing Car.

Raa Raa The Noisy Lion is on CBeebies at 3.30pm.

It's difficult to deal with a highly competitive colleague. Every time you submit work, they try to find ways to outperform you. Irrational people are often thrown off balance when their behaviour is addressed in a direct manner.More
