US X Factor struck by lightning
Britney Spears and Demi Lovato reportedly ran screaming for cover after the US X Factor auditions were hit by thunder storms.
The auditions in North Carolina came to a halt after lightning struck a production truck, causing a power cut at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex.
A source told the Mail Online that celebrity judges Britney and Demi were screaming along with the audience before they took shelter in the safety of their dressing rooms while power was restored.
Filming resumed after about an hour, but had to be called off again after lightning reportedly struck the production a second time.
The Carolina auditions for the Fox TV show, judged by Britney, Demi, Simon Cowell and LA Reid finally resumed after a long wait to get everything fixed.
Demi tweeted from the auditions about a hunky contestant she had a "crush" on who did carpentry "like Jesus" and who she asked to open his shirt so she could read his tattoo.
