Van Outen tried to teach Lee Mead

Denise Van Outen would like to carry on dancing when Strictly is over

Denise Van Outen has admitted she's tried out her new Strictly Come Dancing moves on her husband - but with little success.

The TV presenter, 38, told TV Times that she wanted to keep dancing after the BBC One show finishes, and that she's attempted to get Lee Mead interested.

But Denise, mum to two-year-old Betsy, said that Lee needed a trained teacher to help him with the moves.

"I'd like to (continue after Strictly Come Dancing finishes), it's such a brilliant way to keep fit," she told the magazine.

"I'd like Betsy to go to some classes as well, because it's such a lovely way for children to mix with the opposite sex."

She added: "I've tried to show Lee the basics, but I think he needs a professional to teach him."
