Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey are "beyond excited" to become parents.
The couple announced last month that they are expecting their first baby.
Vanessa absolutely loves being pregnant, as first time parenthood is an exciting experience.
"It's going great! I have no complaints -- it's been fun," Vanessa told Us Weekly magazine. "It's been a fun process. Every day is a new adventure! [We] are beyond the moon excited. He's ready to be a dad!"
Vanessa is eager to learn the gender of her new baby and will deliver the news to her family in a fun way once she knows.
"My sister-in-law found this great idea on Pinterest to put the coloured cupcake cream in the middle," she explained. "If it's a boy, you put blue, and if it's a girl, you put pink cream in the middle of the cupcake."
Vanessa and Nick have been narrowing down baby names vociferously.
"We've been yelling them around the house to see how they sound and we call them to come to us," Vanessa shared.
The pair will welcome their new baby into the family later on this year.
