VB ‘longs to be Lady’
Victoria Beckham is excited at the thought of her husband David being knighted.
The fashion designer's husband David has been nominated for the New Year's Honours List, which would see him knighted.
Having already made a name for themselves in the showbiz world Victoria can't wait for the chance to have an official title.
"Victoria is already a part of the super-rich and loves the idea of joining the aristocracy," an insider told British magazine Closer. "She is thrilled at the prospect of getting the Lady title - she thinks it'll be a big two fingers up to anyone who's ever doubted or criticised her."
Victoria - who has three sons and a daughter with the former soccer star - is said to believe this tribute has been a long time coming. David was awarded an OBE in 2003 and this progression is a natural move for the 38-year-old star.
"Victoria really wants this knighthood for David - and it would mean a lot to her to be given a title. She feels they've worked so hard over the years, it really would be the icing on the cake," the source added.
"She's so proud of David - she thinks he's a national hero. Being a Lady would be crowning glory for Victoria. It means a lot to her. She and David have achieved so much as a couple, but a knighthood would give them aristocratic status."
