Vicky Pattison stays true to outspoken nature

Vicky Pattison insists she's still a normal northern girl after winning I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and scoring a seat on the Loose Women panel.

Geordie Shore's Vicky Pattison would rather put her foot in it than have no opinions at all.

The 28-year-old star rose to fame on the MTV reality show, but won over a wider fan base after being crowned queen of the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! jungle in 2015. It's this stint which landed her a new spot on the panel of ITV show Loose Women and a programme of her own on the same network is in the pipeline. Despite her fame quickly soaring, Vicky has sworn to stay true to her Newcastle roots.

“Every time I open my mouth I seem to say something that puts my foot in it,” she laughed to Britain's Daily Star newspaper. “But I would rather have an opinion than have nothing to say.

“It’s super important that I remember where I came from. Geordies are known for being honest and having a laugh and I love that. I will never lose touch with that.

“I think people liked me in the Jungle because I was down-to-earth, I mucked in and had a laugh. I’ve always been a normal northern girl who wanted to better myself."

Vicky hopes to be a voice for her generation by bringing topics that people are often too afraid to address into the spotlight. She's even befriended fellow Geordie star Cheryl Fernandez-Versini after meeting the singer at the finals of The X Factor at the end of last year (15).

“She complemented me on my b**bs and I told her they should be fab for how much I paid for them!" Vicky quipped.

“She’s breathtakingly beautiful in real life and a really sweet person. She’s lots of fun and we’ve messaged since. She has a lot of banter. I’m a true Geordie girl so she is one of my idols."

When she does have some spare time to herself, the brunette beauty makes sure to tune into the latest series of Celebrity Big Brother. Her former Geordie Shore co-star Scotty Timlin is currently in the house and Vicky is rooting for him to win the show.

“Scotty T can definitely win it,” she said. “He’s a hilarious guy and has shown himself to be a genuinely top bloke."
