Victoria Beckham has reportedly purchased a new convenience shop just around the corner from her current offices in South West London, as her fashion line is rapidly expanding.
The singer-turned-designer has four children with her football player husband David and her line is going from strength to strength.
Victoria and the family recently moved back to London from Los Angeles following the end of David’s contract with the Galaxy soccer team.
Now that she is back in the UK, Victoria has apparently purchased a property in which to open up shop in the neighbourhood of Battersea.
“Victoria’s range is going from strength to strength, and expanding at a phenomenal rate. Quite simply, she desperately needs more space,” a source explained to British newspaper The Mirror.
"She’s been looking at disused warehouses and shops for some time and heard the Spar newsagent around the corner had come on the market. Victoria is a canny businesswoman and has negotiated a great deal for herself.”
The convenience store will clearly require ample refurbishment before Victoria moves in.
"Whilst it’s not the most glamorous of operating spaces, it is functional and, once renovated, will provide a perfect base,” the insider said.
“Obviously she hasn’t bought it as her inaugural flagship store but she will be using it primarily as extra work space for her rapidly growing team.”
It has been reported Victoria has been a little lonely since she’s moved back to her native country.
Apparently it has been all work and little play.
"Victoria sometimes feels like, despite everything she's achieved over the years, she's failed somewhat because she doesn't have many friends. She's not settling into London well yet - it's all family and work. It's brought home the fact that some friendships have fallen by the wayside," an insider told the British edition of Closer magazine recently.
