Victoria Beckham is reportedly upset that her Spice Girl bandmates haven’t spoken to her since she announced her departure from the group.

The singer-turned-designer recently announced in a statement that her “singing days are over” and cemented her career intentions by launching her new shopping website. Victoria was said to be surprised that no-one from the Spice Girls – Mel B, Mel C, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton - has spoken to her following the momentous move.

“Victoria is upset the girls didn’t get in touch with her after she announced she was leaving the band. Even though she doesn’t want to sing again, she doesn’t want to fall out with any of them and is afraid she’s been frozen out,” a source told British magazine Closer.

Victoria issued a statement confirming she had quit the band last week. The announcement came amid rumours the Spice Girls are planning to go on tour again next year.

“Victoria has made no secret of the fact her singing days are over. She loved her time as a Spice Girl and will always wish the other girls well in whatever they choose to do,” said her spokesperson.

The Spice Girls had been in talks about touring in 2014, with the other girls reportedly meeting at Geri’s house to discuss plans. However, Victoria had always made it clear the London Olympic Games closing ceremony would be her farewell performance.

“Victoria is aware that releasing a statement was quite formal but, as far as she was concerned, she wanted to draw a line under her Spice Girls days,” an insider explained. “Despite the statement, she still hoped the girls would contact her, especially Mel C and Emma. Victoria feels she was given the silent treatment over something that shouldn’t have come as a shock to them.”

Victoria has now apparently turned to her soccer star spouse David for advice. He is said to have told her to focus on her fashion career and the family they raise together, insisting she will be able to mend her relationship with her former bandmates one day.

“Victoria has leant on David a lot over this, saying she just wishes one of them would pick up the phone and ring her,” the source added. “But David’s assured her it’s time for her to move on and leave the Spice Girls in the past.”
