Victoria Pendleton says her FHM Sexiest Girl in Sport prize is the "most prestigious" award she has won.
The former Olympic track cyclist – who a gold and silver medal at the London 2012 Olympics – puts her latest piece of silverware up there with some of her finest sporting achievements, but admits she was "really embarrassed" to be voted 39th sexiest woman in the world.
Speaking at the FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2013 Awards in association with VO5 Extreme at the Sanderson Hotel in Central London last night (01.05.13), she told BANG Showbiz: "I think this is the most prestigious award I could have ever won! I'm thankful to everyone who voted.
"I'm totally embarrassed about being on the list, though. Really embarrassed!"
The 32-year-old beauty wowed in a stunning black dress at last night's ceremony, but revealed she struggled to pick out the perfect gown for the occasion because she "doesn't do sexy very well" and considers herself to be more of a "geek".
She added: "I was like, 'Mum, can you help me choose a dress? Is this sexy?' She was like, 'No.' And then I was like, 'How about this one?' And she was like, 'No.'
"I don't think I really do sexy very well. It's not something I feel. I'm more of a nerd, I'm a geek.
"It's all someone else's work to be perfectly honest. You get someone to do your make-up, get someone to do your hair."
Mila Kunis topped the FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World list, and former 'Coronation Street' star Helen Flanagan was delighted to be named Sexiest Woman in Britain.
She said: "Thank you so so much. It's really lovely and thank you to everyone who voted."
Laura Whitmore – who donned a white ensemble as she picked up the Sexiest Woman on TV prize – said: "Thanks very much, I like the telly but I don't feel very sexy. Please don't spill your drink on me - white was not a good idea."
