Video: Emilia Clarke battles Northern Ireland elements as '50mph wind' knocks her over while filming Game of Thrones

Published 06/10/2016

We're more used to seeing Emilia Clarke battling the slave masters in Game of Thrones than the elements - but the actress was knocked off her feet by the blustery Northern Ireland wind this week.

The actress who plays Daenerys Targaryen in the hit HBO progamme Game of Thrones is back filming series 7.

The series will end after season eight leaving fans with only two more adventures of bloody battles, sword fights and dragons.

As a large part of the filming takes place in Northern Ireland - fans of the show have been lucky to spot the cast.

On Wednesday Clarke found herself bracing the elements as she was wrapped up in a coat as she filmed series 7.

Her character's trademark blonde hair could be seen under her coat

Uploading a video to Instagram the actress was barely audible as she likened it to being on a episode of Running Wild with Bear Grylls.

She captioned the video saying she fell over afterwards.

"And then I fell over. Or rather a brisk 50mph N.Irish wind caught me unawares."
