Republic of Ireland international Shay Given is a regular contributor on Sky Sports... so you'd think they would recognise his voice.

The Sky Sports News team was discussing the injury suffered by England's Jack Butland in the 3-2 victory over Germany on Saturday, a misfortune that will see Given receive some much-needed game time at Stoke ahead of the Euros, when 'Shay' called in to give his tuppence worth on his team mate.

The serious subject of Butland fracturing his ankle and probably missing out on the finals himself was somewhat overshadowed by the fact that the presenter wasn't talking to the Republic of Ireland international but a fake.

The accent and the pitch of his voice of the interviewee made it clear it wasn't Ireland's second most-capped player.

They quickly pulled the plug on the interview, but the faux-pas was very apparent.
