The Only Way Is Essex is up against highbrow hits including costume drama Downton Abbey for a prestigious television award.
The reality programme, which follows the lives of several perma-tanned regulars on the Essex club scene, has been shortlisted for the audience award at this year's Philips British Academy Television Awards.
It up against the ITV1 show, which stars Dame Maggie Smith, BBC One's Sherlock and critically-acclaimed Danish import The Killing.
Also in the running for the YouTube Audience Award are comedy show Miranda and documentary series My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding.
Bafta chief executive Amanda Berry said: "It is fantastic to see such an eclectic list of programmes nominated for this year's YouTube Audience Award.
"These programmes have captured the British viewers' attention and have earned their place on this year's shortlist."
It is the only award, handed out at the ceremony in central London next month, which is decided by public vote.
Last year's winner was The Inbetweeners.
Viewers have until 5pm on Friday May 20 to vote at www.youtube.com/baftaonline.
