Vinny Guadagnino pleads for help for Hurricane Sandy victims

Vinny Guadagnino

Jersey Shore's Vinny Guadagnino says he wants everyone to "come together" to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy.

The devastating storm ripped through the East Coast of America earlier this week and did an estimated $1 billion worth of damage in Seaside Heights where the popular MTV reality series was filmed.

Vinny made an impassioned plea in a filmed public service announcement where he asked for everyone to dig in their pockets to help the relief effort.

"We're spreading a PSA right now to text 'REDCROSS' to 90999," he told MTV News. "You can donate like $10, and I think if a lot of people do that it will make impacts."

"New Jersey and especially Seaside is just destroyed. I've never had anything like this happen to me, like, I know every business owner on the boardwalk personally, you know, and like, they're good people, they all are hard-working people."

The money raised will be focused on meeting the immediate needs of those displayed by the hurricane and go towards food, shelter and health services.

Four of the six seasons of Jersey Shore were filmed in Seaside Heights which helped to make household names of Snooki and The Situation.

Virgo:

Read the fine print on a contract. If you're not happy with the proposed terms of a deal, renegotiate. Don't be afraid to drive a hard bargain. You may not realise it, but you have a great deal of power. People are willing to pay good money for someone with your intelligence and experience. If you undersell yourself, you will set a dangerous precedent. Someone will ask you to do something that goes against your conscience. Obey your principles, even if it means making an enemy.More
