Wahlberg: Bieber's not in prison

Mark Wahlberg has said Justin Bieber isn't completely out of control yet because he hasn't been to prison.

When asked in a webchat with The Sun what he thought about the Never Say Never singer, 19, going off the rails, he pointed out Justin hadn't been locked up.

He said: "He's a teenager. Obviously he's living in a different day and age where everybody's got a cell phone and paparazzi's everywhere. But, I was in prison before I got a record out. I don't think he's been to prison, and I don't think he wants to go."

Questioned about what advice he would give the young star, Mark mimicked the interviewer's English accent and said: "Justin, are you listening? Don't be so naughty. Be a nice boy. Pull your trousers up. Make your mum proud. Stop smoking all that w***, you little b******."

He continued: "No, look, he's a kid! Let him live his life! I would hope that he would look at it like I wish I looked at it, and think now is the time to be focused and to be disciplined and to try to be the best that I can be at what I do in his career, like an athlete should."

Rapper-turned-actor Mark called him a "nice enough kid" and said the duo's movie project which would star Justin as a basketball player "still could happen".

If it did go ahead, he said: "Maybe we'd do something for a soundtrack. But I don't know if that's gonna happen."
