Walliams 'hopeful he can save marriage'
David Walliams apparently found it hard to watch his wife Lara Stone get cosy with male models on photo shoots.
The world was left shocked at the beginning of the month, when it was claimed the model asked her comedian spouse for a trial separation, with Lara apparently moving out of the family home with son Alfred and dog Bert.
Despite his alleged concern about Lara working with attractive men, David is reportedly hopeful their marriage will continue.
"David and Lara's marriage has been suffering for months. They had been living separate lives, but he's really hoping this isn't the end for them," a source told British magazine Closer. "David became jealous of Lara cosying up with hot models on shoots. This was partly responsible for the arguments."
The topic of expanding their brood is also said to have left them divided. They welcomed Alfred in May 2013 after tying the knot three years earlier and the pregnancy left Lara unable to work for a long period of time.
"Lara found it hard to lose her baby weight after Alfred, and she was worried it would hinder her modelling career. She doesn't want to risk losing her body again until she has everything she wants career-wise," the source added.
David isn't ready to give up yet though and is still in contact with his wife every day, an insider reveals. He's apparently determined to do all it takes to bring them closer and is even open to attending couples' therapy to save their relationship.
