Marc Warren has revealed working on US drama The Good Wife was "an experience" that involved mice, hurricanes and long hours.

The 46-year-old Hustle star appeared in the most recent series of the award-winning legal drama as Nick Saverese, the abusive ex-husband of the firm's private investigator Kalinda.

Marc revealed: "It was a great experience. It's an Emmy award-winning show. It's in its fourth series and it was the first time I'd worked for an American company in the States.

"We shot it all in Brooklyn; I lived in Greenwich Village. I was out there for Hurricane Sandy - I lost power for six days; lost heating for seven days. I had mice in my apartment! It was quite an experience."

The British actor admitted working on the long-running American show meant putting in longer hours on set than he was used to doing back in the UK.

"They do do longer hours. I mean when they've got a day to shoot, they shoot it all, regardless of what time they finish, then they have a stipulated turnaround in-between. It is slightly different working over there, but I soon fitted in with it."

:: Marc Warren stars in Do Elephants Pray, which is out now on DVD, and Mad Dogs, which can be seen on Sky One.
