Watch: Will Young tackles the weather and gets Ireland and England mixed up
Pop star, Will Young, tried his hand at a slightly different career in front of the television cameras as a weather presenter - only for his efforts to fall flat.
And while the singer may have taken a tongue-in-cheek approach, his geography skills left a lot to be desired.
The 38-year-old was attempting to present the weather forecast on Sky News alongside presenter Nazaneen Ghaffar.
He was appearing on the news programme to talk about his new LGBT podcast with Chris Sweeney when he was handed weather presenting duties.
While his over-enthusiastic attempts appeared to entertain viewers, many took to Twitter to tell the singer "not to give up his day job".
As presenter Ghaffar informed viewers of the forecast her co-host was responsible for pointing out the areas under discussion. Leaving her having to correct the Pop Idol winner.
Gesturing to Will on where to point, Naz tried to stifle laughter as she informed viewers there would be "an outbreak of rain across England and Wales" as Will enthusiastically circled a section of the sea.
And when she announced that there were "going to be showers for Scotland and Wales", Will couldn't resist drooping his shoulders and pulling a grimace, before then mistaking Ireland for the Midlands.
He then wrapped up the forecast with a courteous bow.
Viewers flocked to Twitter and were left amused by Will's efforts, with many poking fun at the star and suggesting he sticks to doing what he does best, his music.
One fan commented: "Probably don't give up your day job, but good effort!"
A second agreed: "Geography's not your strong point! Just keep singing, you're great at that. Made me laugh."
Sky News weather presenter Naz couldn't resist poking fun either, tweeting in response to Will attempts: "I think my job is safe."
