Waterloo Road to get new head?

Neil Pearson is joining Waterloo Road, and is rumoured to be playing the headteacher role

Waterloo Road is getting a new headteacher, according to reports.

Digital Spy reported that Neil Pearson will play the new school chief in series 10 next year.

The Drop T he Dead Donkey actor had already been announced as new staff member Vaughn Fitzgerald in the next series of the BBC One drama.

The news was revealed online after a fan visited the set in Greenock, Scotland.

Pictures posted on Inverclyde Now show a sign saying: "Head Teacher: Vaughn Fitzgerald."

It was announced last month that Nicola Stephenson and Neil had been signed up to play teaching duo Vaughn and Allie Westbrook.
