Watts’ charitable children
Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber have taught their children how to be charitable at Christmas.
The Hollywood couple are instilling how important it is to be empathetic towards others in their two sons, Alexander, six, and five-year-old Samuel.
The two young boys have learned about what it means to be homeless, and what they can do to help.
“This time of year, now that I have two small kids, finding ways to teach them about generosity and compassion and what this season is in any faith, are great opportunities for us,” Liev told America’s OK! Magazine.
“We [he and Naomi] got to go to ABC, which does terrific work for children and we got to bring the boys along. They got to play with these kids for two hours, which was amazing.”
Diana actress Naomi and Liev have been together for eight years.
Despite their children’s young age, proud father Liev says they were eager to learn.
“It’s not a charitable age, but they like playing, and they like learning. To bring them uptown and try to explain to them what homelessness is, it’s good stuff.
“The kids had a great time playing, and they wanted to go back every week, but of course, Daddy didn’t want to go back every week,” he laughed.
The family will be making time to see both sets of parents over the festive period, which includes flying to Australia to see Naomi’s relatives.
“We’re going to visit my mom in Virginia, and then we’re going to Naomi’s family in Australia,” he said of their holiday travel plans.
