Kanye West has cracked a joke about his girlfriend Kim Kardashian as he made a special appearance on her mother Kris Jenner's TV show.

The Yeezus rapper couldn't resist quipping about her ex-boyfriends, including basketball player ex-husband Kris Humphries, saying he is "so in love" with Kim that he thought about "playing sports", reported Us Weekly.

Kim also previously dated American football star Reggie Bush.

In the hour-long episode, which was filmed on August 19, the 36-year-old is expected to open up about his romance with Kim and their two-month-old baby daughter North, as well as his rocky relationship with the press.

Kanye went for a casual look for his TV interview, opting for a blue denim shirt with brown trousers.

The interview will air on US screens on August 23, the final episode of a six-week trial run of the show.

Kanye's interview follows Kim's surprise appearance on the show on August 2, via a video message.

As she kept her post-baby body hidden by only showing her face in the footage, the new mum said: "Hey Mum, I just wanted to say congratulations on your new show. I'm sorry I couldn't be there in person, but I'm just loving life a little bit too much at home right now."
