Whodunnit marks Neighbours episode

Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) will be at the centre of a storyline marking Neighbours' 6,000th episode

Neighbours is to celebrate its 6,000th episode with a dramatic Who Shot JR-inspired whodunnit storyline.

In the landmark episode, someone tries to murder legendary villain Paul Robinson - played by original cast member Stefan Dennis - and viewers will be left guessing who out of a number of possible suspects tried to kill him.

Iconic Neighbours character Paul's life is left hanging by a thread when he plunges from the mezzanine level of Lassiters, and his fall is no accident.

The gripping story will air to British viewers on Channel Five in the week commencing October 11, celebrating 25 years of the hit Aussie soap.

In the week leading up to the milestone 6,000th episode on October 15, a new suspect is revealed each day as viewers see the events leading up to Paul's fall.

With so many enemies who had the motive to harm him, it will be very hard to guess 'Who pushed PR?.

Meanwhile, as Paul's life hangs in the balance, Donna and Ringo will be getting ready to tie the knot.

But with family secrets emerging and a flooded venue to contend with, the popular couple may not even make it down the aisle.
