Belfast Telegraph is advisor to Luminites has revealed he has been giving coaching to rival show Britain's Got Talent's favourite act, Luminites.

The four-piece busking band, who have wowed audiences and the judges, were called the "British Black Eyed Peas" by Simon Cowell in their semi-final and have been in touch with the real thing for advice.

Black Eyed Peas star told The Sun: "I know those guys. I met them backstage at a party in London. They sent me an email and asked me to check out their new song."

But The Voice mentor said he would never try to steal his rival show's act because they are already in a contract.

He said: "They are signed to Sony so I couldn't do that."

Luminites will appear in the live final of Britain's Got Talent on Friday, June 7.
