Winkler joins Parks And Recreation

Henry Winkler is set to join the cast of Parks And Recreation.

The Happy Days actor will appear in a guest role in NBC's comedy as Jean-Ralphio's (Ben Schwartz) father, said The Hollywood Reporter.

The US sitcom about an Indiana town's public officials welcomed another guest, Jenny Slate, as evil genius Jean-Ralphio's like-minded sister Mona-Lisa last year.

Henry will appear in the season six premiere and could pop up again throughout the series.

Also guest starring in the new season is Veronica Mars star Kristen Bell, who will play a snooty council woman from a neighbouring town.

Parks And Recreation returns in September with an hour-long first episode set in London.

Henry is currently filming a part in comedy Larry Gaye: Renegade Male Flight Attendant.

Parks And Recreation airs on BBC Four in the UK.
