Reese Witherspoon's husband Jim Toth has been with her "every step of the way".
The couple welcomed son Tennessee James on September 27. Reese has two children from her previous marriage with Ryan Phillippe-daughter Ava, 13, and son Deacon, eight.
Throughout Reese's pregnancy and following his son's birth, Jim has been nothing but supportive.
"He's been there for Reese every step of the way," an insider told Us Weekly.
"[He's] very excited his son is finally here!"
Siblings Ava and Deacon are also elated about their new brother.
The tots have been fans of Tennessee from day one.
"The kids met the baby the first day at the hospital," another source revealed. "Deacon is excited to have a brother. And Ava can't wait to babysit!"
The 36-year-old star spent two nights in hospital in August, after it appeared she might go into early labour.
Reese and Jim married in March last year and Tennessee is the couple's first child together.
