Reese Witherspoon was reportedly “beaming” throughout a romantic holiday in Mexico her husband Jim Toth treated her to as a celebratory gift for her 37th birthday.

The actress and her talent agent spouse welcomed baby Tennessee James into the world at the end of September 2012.

The Legally Blonde star also raises daughter Ava, 13, and Deacon, nine, from her previous marriage to actor Ryan Phillippe.

Reese has been working and taking care of her brood resolutely after son Tennessee entered the world.

Turning the age of 37 on March 22, Reese’s beau Jim decided to treat his wife to a lovely holiday in Mexico over the weekend.

"Reese was beaming. She looked so excited about her getaway with Jim," a witness told People magazine.

The pair stayed at Capella Pedregal resort in a luxury suite that overlooked the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez.

Apparently Reese and Jim spent most of their time tanning and eating delicious meals on their private patio.

"They seemed to enjoy spending time alone," another source detailed.

"They had a butler that served them lunch, and they [ate] healthy local food, including fresh fish, with rosé wine. Reese and Jim looked very happy together. The busy couple rested every afternoon and also enjoyed the resort's spa.

"Jim treated Reese to birthday spa treatments. When she returned, he surprised her with a romantic dinner. Jim made a big effort to make the trip very special for Reese.”

The couple celebrates their second wedding anniversary Tuesday.
